Junkyard Kids - two demo tracks

This garage/punk band played only a few shows before it disbanded around 2005, though the tracks I uploaded sound pretty cool even now.

2 of its members now play in indie-rock band 'Xerox Candy Bar', one plays guitar for Not On Tour, and their drummer sings in 'Suckinim'. Me and Nadav from Brutal Assault even played one rehearsal with them.

Sleep Furious - S/T unreleased LP

This is the LP version of Sleep Furious' CD. It was supposed to be released on a german label but like many things in punk history, it just never happened. This band is absolutely amazing, it's like nothing that ever existed around here in israel. This is like HHIG or Tragedy - a sound and a feeling a lot of bands tried to imitate but only a few really succeeded. The secret is all about being unique.

Negative Impact - Demo

I don't know much details about this band. I think they're from the Haifa area and were active in the mid to late 90's. They appear on the Isvey Pere video compilation but I don't think they officially released anything. Felix Havoc, who toured here with Code 13  in 98 and played three shows with them and Dir Yassin, describes them as "melodic hardcore sort of like the first Dag Nasty album". I agree.

Prat Shuli - Demo (Rehearsal Sessions)

I can't believe that only now I came around to write about this band. In many ways, Prat Shuli were like the younger, nerdier and more innocent version of Bo LaBar. Their songs had really stupid lyrics, they were always kidding around and acting like assholes.. and everybody either really liked them or really hated them for that. Back in the early 00's, a large part of the Israeli punk scene (consisiting of 13-17 year olds..) were communicating through the internet - mIrc, audiogalaxy, forums and such. Prat Shuli managed to create an image of a really tough street punk / oi band, and for some time people actually believed it. At least until they had the chance to see them live.... In any case, these are various recording from Prat Shuli rehearsals. The sound is crappy, but it warms my heart. (I apologize in advance for all the duplicates in the files.. this is how it's been in my archives and it's too much of a mess to try and figure what is what).
